Active Voice And Passive Voice
VOICE
Voice is the form of verb which shows whether the subject does something
or has something done to it. We have two voice an English.
- Active Voice
- Passive Voice
(1) Active Voice
A verb is a active
voice when its subject something or simple words the active voice indicate that
the subject is performing the active.
Examples
(1) He writes a letter.
(2) We eat an Apple.
(3) They play Cricket.
In here the subject (He, We, They) do
something to the verb used as said to be in the Active Voice.
(2) Passive Voice
A verb is a
passive voice when something is done to its subject or simple words the passive
voice indicate that the action of the verb is being performed upon the subject.
Examples
(1) A letter is written by him.
(2) An Apple is eaten by us.
(3) Cricket is played by them.
In these sentences the subject (A letter, An Apple, Cricket) are acted upon they remain inactive or passive voice and their verb are therefore said to in the Passive Voice.
