Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Explanatory (Definition)

                                         Present perfect Continuous expresses the length or duration of an action that has been started in the past, Continuous in the present may or may not be Continuous in the Future.

 

Syntax (Structure)

                                Subj +has/hae+been+1stform of verb + ing + since/for + Object.


Note:

       Subj + has + been +1stform of verb + ing + since/for + object.

       Used with Singular pronoun

       She , He , It , Singular Noun


Note:

        Subject + have + been +1stform of verb +ing + since/for + Object.

       They , We , I You Plural Noun

 

Implementing (Examples):

Positive Sentences

1. She has been working in his   field since morning.

2. He has been dancing in the party for two hours.

3. Ibrahim has been acknowledging the decision since evening.

4. The people have been dividing sweets among with each other since morning.

5. They have been watching the T.V for several years.

Negative Sentences

Formula:

             Subject + has/have + not + been + 1st form verb + ing + object.


Note:

         Subject+ has + not + been + verb 1st form + ing + since/for + Object.

             Used for Singular Noun

     He, She , It, Singular Noun


Note:

        Subj + have + not + been + verb 1st form + ing + since/for + Object.

                  Used  for plural pronoun

Examples:

1. We have not been squeezing our clothes for several/ numerous/many months.

2. They have not been pressing the clothes since evening.

3. I have not been weeping for two days.

4. She has not been speeching since now.

5. He has not been protesting against the king since 1990.

6. Shazeeb has not been wining prize since 1999.

7. You have not been eating the bread with butter for 3o minutes.

Formula:

             Have/Has+Subject+been+1st form of verb+ ing form +since/for +Object?


Note:

            Has +Subject +been+ 1st   form of verb +ing form +since/for +Object?

           Use for singular Pronoun

           He, She, It, Singular Noun.

Note:

        Have+Subject+been+1st form of verb +ing form +since, for +Object?

         Use for plural pronoun.

         They, I, You, We, Plural  Noun


Examples:

(1) Has Aslam been passing Entry Test since 2014?

(2) Has he been talking with his brother on Skype since Night?

(3) Have I been plucking flowers since afternoon?

(4) Have they been holding/handing flower since today?

(5) Has she been sacfricing her life for country since 2010?

(6) Have you been repenting on your bad action for several/many days?

(7) Have we been deceiving the people for two hours?

             Use with plural pronoun

They, we, I , you plural Noun

(2) Has she not been repeating her lesson in home for 10 hours?

(3) Have they not been wasting their time for many years?

(4) Have you not been taking exercise since195o?

(5) Have people not protesting against the king since 2013?

(6) Have we not been achieving since evening?

(7) Have I not been working my Field for two weak?
