Past continuous Tense

Explanatory (Definition)

                    Past continuous tense expresses action a events in a time before now, which began in the past and is still going on at the time of speaking.

Syntax (structure)

         Subject+ was/were +verb 1^st   form +ing +object.

Note

         Subject+ was + verb 1^st form + ing + object.

He, She, It, I, Singular Noun.

Note

            Subject + were + 1^st form of verb + ing +Object.

They, You, We, Plural Noun.

Positive Sentence

1) I was writing a letter. 

2) We were learning our lesson.

3) You were watering to the Plants.

4) They were collecting the flock in hill.

5) She was singing a song.

 6) He was taking with his brother on skype.

 7) Ahmad was taking exercise.
